Introduction
This virtual exhibit honors the memory of Pamela Waechter z"l (1947-2006), an active and caring member of the Jewish community in the Pacific Northwest. Utilizing oral history interviews from people who knew her, a loving picture of her is painted. The format, while different from other exhibits, is meant to celebrate the beautiful images of her life. A memorial video is included both at the end of the exhibit window and on its own just beneath the exhibit.
In 2007, the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle established the Pamela Waechter z"l Jewish Communal Professional Award, which seeks to honor "a professional at a Jewish organization who embodies the qualities of leadership and service that Pamela Waechter z”l brought to Jewish Puget Sound."
