The Washington State Jewish Historical Society invites you to:

Our Roots

An event to celebrate the launch of the Washington Jewish Memory Archive

On Thursday, June 15, 2023 At 7:00 PM

Mercer Island. Exact location shared upon registration

Join us for an evening destined for the history books as we celebrate the launch of our digital community archive! Thanks to generous state funding, we have been diligently planting seeds to grow this valuable resource all year.

Look forward to a unique and interactive night, including:

• A special performance by the Seattle Jewish Theater Company

• A touching animation created just for the occasion

• Honoring the Jewish Archives & Research Committee, our foundation of amazing volunteers

• An opportunity to contribute to our archival garden (your support is vital to the growth of the archive!)

• Giveaways & prizes

• And a toast & treat!

A limited amount of tickets will be sold. Camp-style snacks will be served (please note this event does not include dinner). Tickets are $55 in honor of the 55th anniversary of our founding.

Doors open at 6:45 PM. For additional information, please visit wsjhs.org/roots.

We appreciate the work of our co-chairs for this 2023 Showcase: Our Roots/Shorashim Dennis Goldstein and Robin Rogel-Goldstein, Seth Goldstein, and Briana Roberts.

Thank you to everyone involved with the implementation of the Washington Jewish Memory Archive. We appreciate the state funding and those who helped us obtain this. We are grateful to our State’s Legislators, our Donors and Grantors, our contract Archivist, the WSJHS Board and Staff, the Jewish Archives and Research Committee, the Washington State Jewish Archives, the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle and of course the whole Community.
